One half of Chrihanna, Chris Brown talks with MTV.com about his upcoming film project with actor Idris Elba ("American Gangster", Tyler Perry's "Daddy's Little Girls").
"It’s a movie called ‘The Heist’ that I’m doing with T.I., Idris Elba and Matt Dillon. I’m playing a killer. I’m not going to give anything else away! It’s a bank-robbing movie, so it’s one of those action-packed films. You get a little different side of me in that movie.”
"At the end of the day, I’m going to focus on my music first. [But] me being onstage enhances me being in the movie, and then me being in the movie — acting, catching characters — gives me time to transform into a different character onstage."

Emmy Award winner and former model, Tyra Banks interviewed the models featured on the cover and in Vogue Italia's best selling issue to date, "The Black Issue". Vicotria's Secret model Selita Ebanks, Jessica White, and America's Next Top Model contestant Tocarra were there. Selita recently showed off her new short cut at another event last week. She looks great and her manicure is on point! I don't know what Nick Cannon was thinking to mess up that one...

My guilty pleasure, T.I. was on the set of the video for Maino's "Hi Hater Remix" in Brooklyn, NY last weekend. Also on set was rumored cheater and producer Swizz Beatz. Cute shades.
Model/singer Cassie also shot a video for "Official Girl Remix" featuring Lil'Wayne. The new single is off of her sophomore album, which has been pushed back to early 2009. Lil' Wayne's album The Carter 3 just hit the 2 million mark in barely two months. Talk about "A Milli"...

I nearly fainted when I went on Tickemaster.com last night and saw that Keri Hilson (omg I love her) and Robin Thicke were going to be performing at the House of Blues on the Sunset strip this Thursday (August 14). Unfortunately, the tickets are sold out. If you snabbed your tickets already then I am jealous... I can't wait to see the photos from the show though! I know Keri and Robin are going to be hot!

I was trying not to post two articles back-to-back of the deceased, but in honor of Soul/Funk legend Isaac Hayes, it's only right. As many of you already heard, Isaac Hayes passed yesterday in his home. A relative found him unconscious next to his treadmill on his bedroom. The Golden Globe winner suffered from a stroke in 2006. Ironically, Hayes and Bernie Mac who passed on Saturday just wrapped a movie together with Samuel L. Jackson. Isaac Hayes is survived by his wife, Adjowa Hayes and twelve children.
When I heard that comedian and the King's of Comedy star Bernie Mac had pneumonia, I was hoping that he would have a speedy recovery. Unfortunately, the talented actor and comedian passed away earlier this morning. His family has asked for privacy at this time. Rest in peace, Mr. Bernie Mac... you will be missed.
The amazingly talented Erykah Badu performed at the 26th Annual Martin Luther King Concert Series featuring in Brooklyn, New York earlier this week. The singer who's also expecting her third child was nice enough to take the time and have a fun meet and greet with some fans after the set. Nice!

So, I got my hands on the impossibly-hard-to-find (for short of $30+) Vogue Italia's "Black Issue" with Naomi Campbell on the cover. Funny thing is, when I went into the bookstore, I was going to get this other magazine with M.I.A's long lost sister, Santogold. Even Senator Barack Obama supports this magazine! I just happened to look down and notice the coveted re-print of the magazine and there was no way I was going to leave it in the store. Gotta love Los Angeles...

According to Swap Politics.com, Sen. John McCain said during a rally in Lima that Obama implied that Obama has a vision other than peace because "His policy of unconditional withdrawal, regardless of conditions on the ground, could result in renewed violence". Mc Cain also made it clear that he is opposed to Obama's election as president. Mc Cain continued, arguing "We're finally winning in Iraq, and he [Obama] wants to forfeit". The bitter senator also "vowed that he'd rather lose a campaign than lose a war." The election is soon approaching...I'm sure Mc Cain will eat his words.
