Kanye West & his girlfriend, Amber Rose made an appearance at the Costume Institute Gala Benefit in New York last night. Now, I know why Amber hasn't been snapped by the paparazzi lately: peep the new cover-up tattoo on her arm. Before, it was the name of her ex-boyfriend for her teen years. I'm glad she finally took care of that... Anyway, the booskies looked great as always.

If you don't know who Kid Cudi is, Google him and you will hear some of the best hip-hop you've heard from a budding artist since Lupe Fiasco. This "Kid from Cleveland" was discovered by none other than the "Amazing" Kanye West. Kid Cudi has recently made a name for himself with the 420 friendly single "Day N' Nite". After announcing his retirement and quickly changing his mind, Kid Cudi has an amazing new mixtape entitled "Dat Kid From Cleveland". I recommend "Look Up In Da Stars", "09 Freestyle", "I Poke Her Face" and "Super Boo". I'm diggin' the vector theme of the album artwork too! I see you Cudi...

The list for the 2008 Grammy Nominations is official in. Kanye West & Amy Winehouse are in competition for the "Album of the Year" award. Some other artists nominated are Seal for his new single "Amazing" (Best Male Pop Vocal Performance); Justin Timberlake for " What Goes Around...Comes Around" (in the same category); Beyonce for "Irreplacable" [of course], and Rihanna for her crossover summer smash, "Umbrella". The Grammys will air February 10, 2008 at 8PM on CBS. I know I'll have my TiVo ready!

Kanye West put on one heck of a show at his "Glow in the Dark" tour in Manchester, England Sunday. Hip Hop mogul and pink-hoodie-wearin' Jay-Z made a surprise appearance at the sold out show. "The crowd at the Manchester Evening News arena went nuts as Jigga appeared with West halfway through the show for a performance of "Encore." (See video below.) West produced the hit single for Jay-Z's 2003 CD, "The Black Album." West was due to wrap his "Glow in the Dark" tour last night in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, GB. The trek began late last month shortly after the death of his mother, Donda West. "

As you all have heard, hip-hop superstar Kanye West's mother passed last Saturday, November 10 at the age of 58 years-old due to a malfunction during a cosmetic procedure. "Dr. Donda West spent 31 years as an educator, 24 of those years at Chicago State University, before retiring to become her son's manager."
